Opening ceremony for the ILP Summer Session was held in the Faculty of Fisheries

On the 21st August, the opening ceremony for the Graduate School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, ILP (International Linkage Program on Tropical Fisheries) Summer Session was held at Shimo-Arata Campus. A total of 7 international students from Sam Ratulangi University (Indonesia), Universiti Terengganu Malaysia (Malaysia), University of the Philippines Visayas (Philippines), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Nha Trang University (Vietnam), and National Chiayi University (Taiwan) came to Japan for participating to the ILP Summer Session. At the opening ceremony, Professor Nishi, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries, gave an opening address, and Professor Komatsu, Deputy Dean, gave a welcome address. Seven international students and three Japanese students participating in the ILP program expressed their enthusiasm for the program. The international students will stay at Kagoshima University International Lodge for foreign researchers at Shimo-Arata Campus until September 27th, take 3 classroom lectures and 1 experimental subject, and engage in research activities under their respective supervisors.
