HOME JAPAN and MALAYSIA International Online Exchange Symposium jointly held by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Hokkaido University, and Kagoshima University
Three fisheries faculties, composed of the Faculty of Fisheries and Food Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (FPSM-UMT), Faculty of Fisheries, Hokkaido University, and Faculty of Fisheries, Kagoshima University jointly hosted “JAPAN and MALAYSIA International Online Exchange Symposium” on November 30, 2020. After the welcome remark from the Dean of FPSM-UMT to all the guest speakers and audience, six speakers from the three faculties gave 15-minutes lectures on a general introduction of their latest research in the field of fisheries. From our faculty, Prof. Miguel VAZQUEZ ARCHDALE presented on “Baits and Traps for the Eradication of Invasive Swimming Crabs” and Associate Prof. SHIOZAKI Kazuhiro presented on “Neuropeptide Y knockout zebrafish: novel experimental mode for aquaculture research”. More than 160 students from the three faculties joined this symposium, and they were very active in the Q&A session.
