" Yellowtail kingfish are caught in summer to autumn off the coast of Kagoshima Pref. and are unpredictable, powerful and great fighters when hooked as well as other Seriola species. Yellowtail kingfish bears a close resemblance to Yellowtail; those species have elongate, compressed bodies with large forked caudal fins. Yellowtail kingfish have round-edged maxillae, while those of yellowtail are sharpened."
