2. Scientific name: Amphiprion clarkii (Bennett, 1830)
3. Characteristics: Yellowtail clownfish is abundant in the shallow areas of Kagoshima Bay throughout the year. The species is known as being a protandrous hermaphrodite. They live in a symbiotic relationship with sea anemone and deposit eggs on the substrata beneath sea anemone. In summer, we can see them taking care of their eggs around sea anemone in the bay.
